Die Klezmatics vertonen Liedtexte von Woody Guthrie, die so gut wie unbekannt waren, und die die Tochter Guthries aus dem Nachlass von über 3000 Texten für die Band ausgewählt hat. Obwohl die Musik weit weg ist von Guthries Songs – sie greifen viele aktuelle Strömungen des Folk, karibische Sounds etc. auf – ist sie sehr stimmig. So sehr, dass die CD in den USA einen Grammy erhielt. Nun endlich erscheint sie auch hierzulande, anlässlich der Tour.
