Jethro Tull sind eine der erfolgreichsten britischen Rockbands aller Zeiten. Ihre Karriere begann in den späten Sechzigern und reicht bis in die Gegenwart hinein. Im Jahr 2003 machte die Band ihre erste und bislang einzige Stippvisite beim Montreux Festival.
Das Konzert war aufgeteilt in eine semi-akustische erste Hälfte und einen komplett elektrifizierten zweiten Durchgang, ein wahrer Triumphzug mit neueren Songs wie »Dot Com«, »Pavane« und »Budapest« sowie vielen Klassikern der Sorte »Living In The Past«, »Nothing Is Easy«, »Life Is A Long Song«, »Locomotive Breath« oder »Aqualung«.
Wie gewohnt leitete Ian Anderson seine Band mit seiner einzigartigen Stimme und seinem unnachahmlichen Flötenspiel, bei dem er zumeist auf nur einem Bein steht.
