Ein James-Taylor-Live-Album war schon seit vielen Jahren vorgeschlagen, gefordert und in Erwägung gezogen worden, aber nie hatten sich alle notwendigen Elemente zusammengefunden. Bis zu der Tournee, die speziell für die Aufnahme dieses Live-Albums geplant war.
