In den letzten Monaten tourte James rund um den Globus und war u. a. mit Corinne Bailey-Rae und John Mayer auf Tour und ließ sich für sein neues Album inspirieren. Er trat an der Seite von Cat Stevens (eines seiner Idole) auf, spielte u. a. bei einem Gedenkkonzert für Prinzessin Diana, gewann einen BRIT Award in der Kategorie »Best British Male Solo Artist« und war für zwei weitere BRITs nominiert – kurz gesagt: James Morrison hat einen Bilderbuchkarrierestart hingelegt!

Es sind meine Gefühle.« Mit an dem Album beteiligt war u. a. Ryan Tedder, Frontmann der Band OneRepublic, sowie Nelly Furtado, mit der James ein Duett aufnahm.
