Am 25. September 1983 nahmen die beiden für den kanadischen Sender CHCH-TV diese denkwürdige Live-Session auf.
Am 16. Oktober 2012 feiert der Mitschnitt "In Session" von Glen Campbell und Jimmy Webb weltweit Premiere als DVD+CD-Paket.
Aufgenommen in den CHCH-TV-Studios in Hamilton, Ontario, gibt es Klassiker aus der Feder Webbs, wie "By the Time I Get to Phoenix", "Wichita Lineman", "Galveston" und "Where's the Playground Susie" zu hören. Eine absolute Perle ist sowohl Campbells als auch Webbs einzige bekannte Aufnahme von "Sunshower" (bekannt über Thelma Houstons gleichnamiges Album von 1969, das Webb produzierte).
Die Performance unterbrechen Ausschnitte eines Interviews mit Jimmy Webb. Spannende Hintergrundlektüre bieten die Liner-Notes des bekannten Musik-Journos Lee Hildeband (San Francisco Chronicle).
Die Musiksendung "In Session" war das Projekt des kanadischen TV-Produzenten Ian Anderson, sein Konzept war es, Musiker live, "in session" zusammenzuführen, die viel miteinander verband, die jedoch noch nicht gemeinsam ein Studio betreten hatten.
