Vier Jahre nach ihrem knalligen Elektronikgewitter "Tarot Sport" (einer der Abräumer in den Jahrespolls 2009) melden sich Benjamin John Power und Andrew Hung, besser bekannt als Fuck Buttons, mit einem dritten Album zurück. Natürlich waren sie in der Zwischenzeit nicht unaktiv. 2012 hatten Fuck Buttons das größte denkbare Publikum, als Regisseur Danny Boyle auf Empfehlung von Underworld ihre Musik für seine atemberaubende Inszenierung der Eröffnungszeremonie der Olympischen Sommerspiele 2012 in London nutzte.
"Slow Focus" ist seitdem die erste Veröffentlichung der Band und gleichzeitig ihr erstes selbst produziertes Album. "Wir brauchten bislang immer Produzenten als Sicherheitsnetz", sagt Andrew Hung, "dabei wussten wir immer genau, wie unsere Musik zu klingen hat." Gesagt, getan.
"Slow Focus" ist ein Hammeralbum und wird den Ruf der beiden als eines der führenden Electronic-Duos unserer Tage zementieren.
