Nice'n'Easy - Celebrating Sinatra
The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

Unter Dirigent Erich Kunzel hat sich nun das erfolgreiche Cincinnati Pops Orchestra den Themen von Nelson Riddle angenommen. Kunzel verpasste dem renommierten Orchester im Zuge dessen den Beinamen Big Band und schwor das vielköpfige Ensemble ganz auf jazzige Sounds ein. Als Solisten holte er sich Bläser wie die Saxofonisten David Edwards und Ken Peplowski, Posaunist Jim Pugh oder Trompeter Rick Baptist ins Studio. Sie übernehmen die Parts, welche in den Original-Songs die Vokalisten inne hatten. Und natürlich dürfen dabei Versionen von Klassikern wie Summer Wind, Nice’N’Easy oder The Lady Is A Tramp nicht fehlen, denen Nelson Riddle mit seinen Arrangements einen ganz eigenen Stempel aufgedrückt hatte. Das Ergebnis ist eine Mischung aus Klassik, Jazz und Pop, die auch klanglich begeistert.
