As well as the sweet-sounding groove of the hit single ‘So In Love’, the album’s somewhat darker highlights include its anti-gun opener, ‘Billy Jack’, the gospel-inspired ‘Jesus’ and Mayfield’s look at contemporary American culture, ‘Hard Times’.
