    In seiner über 50 Jahre währenden Karriere hat der geniale Gitarrist Chet Atkins nahezu 100 Langspielplatten unter seinem Namen eingespielt. Diese 7 CD-Box enthält außerdem die kompletten LPs 'Mister Guitar', 'Teensville', 'Chet Atkins Workshop' und auch 'The Other Chet Atkins', die spanische Gitarrenmusik zum Thema hat. Die Titel des orchestrierten, in Living Stereo veröffentlichten LP-Klassikers 'Chet Atkins In Hollywood' gibt es hier in der exzellenten Fassung von 1958. 16 RCA Victor-Master und Alternativ-Versionen waren bislang gänzlich unveröffentlicht. Ebenfalls dabei sind zwei damals verworfene Projekte 'My Brother Sings' und ein Tribute an Elvis Presley. Untergebracht sind ferner 20 bisher nie im Handel erhältliche SESAC-Aufnahmen und die 1959er-LP 'Hum And Strum'. Als Bonus enthält diese Box darüber hinaus Atkins' erste bekannte Solo-Aufnahme (ein Demo-Azetat für den Sender WNOX in Knoxville von 1945) sowie alle Titel der sehr seltenen EP 'A Most Happy Fella' - hier begleitet Chet Eddy Arnold auf Songs aus dem gleichnamigen Frank- Loesser-Musical von 1956. Autor Rich Kienzle zeichnet in einem 112seitigen Buch Chets Leben und Werk in den betreffenden Jahren nach - natürlich mit allen Aspekten seines gleichzeitigen Wirkens als Produzent, der maßgeblich am Entstehen des 'Nashville Sound' beteiligt war.
