Cary, best known as Whiskeytown's fiddle player, arrives her with her long-anticipated full-length debut, and it doesn't disappoint. While you werent looking captives from its opening track "Shallow Heart, Shallow Water" and hold you its spell for the album's entirety. This disc expands upon the simple, Celtic-accented country folk sounds of her earlies EP Waltzie to create something beautifully alluring. Cary receives ample asistance from a number of talented musicians, including three Whiskeytown survivors (Skillet Gilmore, Mike Daly & Mike Santoro), the Jayhawks Jen Gunderman, Thad Cockrell, Hazeldine's Tanya Lamm, Mitch Easter and producer Chris Stamey.
