Zwei Jahre, nachdem Bullet For My Valentine mit dem Millionseller »Scream, Aim, Fire« weltweit der endgültige Durchbruch gelungen war (u. a. Platz vier in UK und US, Platz drei in Deutschland, Platz eins in Japan), veröffentlichte das walisische Quartett mit »Fever« am 23. April 2010 sein drittes Album »Fever«.
Bei ihren bisherigen Alben »The Poison« (2005) und »Scream, Aim, Fire« (2008) hatten Matt Tuck (Gesang, Gitarre), Michael Paget (Gitarre), Jason James (Bass) und Michael Thomas (Schlagzeug) in Zusammenarbeit mit Colin Richardson (Machinehead, Funeral For A Friend) aufgenommen, diesmal fiel die Produzenten-Wahl auf Don Gilmore (Linkin Park, Dashboard Confessional u. a.). Gemischt wurden die neuen Songs von Chris Lord-Alge (Slipnot, Simple Plan u. a.). Die Aufnahmen fanden sowohl im heimatlichen Wales als auch in Los Angeles statt.
Als erste Single aus »Fever« wählte die Band den Song »The Last Fight«.
