Bobby Wilsons Karriere begann 1968 mit einer Single auf dem Volt Sublabel des legendären Stax Records. Als er 1974 auf dem kleinen Chain Label den Song "Here Is Where The Love Is" veröffentlichte, wurde Buddah Records auf ihn aufmerksam und bot ihm einen Albumdeal. Das Resultat war "I'll Be Your Rainbox", ein zehn Song starkes Album, das Einflüsse von Barry White bis Marvin Gaye wiederspiegelt. Leider fand das Album wenig Beachtung und blieb obskur. Nun wird das Album als 6-Panel Digipak in einer mit Hilfe der originalen Analogmastertapes neu gemasterten Version wiederveröffentlicht.
