Mehr als 16 Jahre gingen Blondie getrennte Wege, bevor sie 1998 für eine Welttournee zurückkehrten. Die von Fans sehnsüchtig erwartete Reunion wurde zu einem großen Event, das auf dem passend betitelten Album »Live« in perfekter Qualität festgehalten wurde. In New York spielte sich die Band um Debbie Harry durch eine Setlist voller zeitloser Klassiker wie »Atomic«, »One Way Or Another«, »Heart of Glass« und »Maria«.
Emerging from the mid-seventies New York punk rock movement, Blondie’s mix of punk ethos, glorious melodies and the iconic figure of Debbie Harry took them to global superstardom. In the UK they remain one of the most successful bands of all time. On February 10, 1999 the band took to the stage of New York’s Town Hall for their first hometown gig in 17 years. Featuring original members Debbie Harry, Chris Stein, Jimmy Destri and Clem Burke, the band stormed through a set that went back to their earliest days with In The Flesh and Rip Her To Shreds, through tracks from their smash hit comeback album No Exit, including their No. 1 hit Maria, and of course all the hits in between such as Dreaming, Atomic, Union City Blue, Sunday Girl, Heart Of Glass and many more. Filmed by VH1 for broadcast, this DVD includes the whole TV version plus around forty minutes of extra footage only available here
