Björk selbst arbeitete auch mit ihrem Tontechniker Curver Thoroddsen zusammen, um ein besonderes Teil des Remixes von Matthew Herbert "Sacrifice" auf 'Pins and Needles Mix' herauszupicken und das Ergebnis ist überwältigend.

Björk also worked with her sound engineer Curver Thoroddsen to isolate a specific chapter of Matthew Herbert's "Sacrifice" remix on the Pins and Needles Mix found on the album. The original Biophilia album was released in 2011 to critical acclaim. The New York Times raved, "the new songs juxtapose hovering textures of choir and organ with sparse pointillism and sudden eruptions of breakbeat drumming, all set against Björk's idiosyncratic melodies: pithy or sustained, pausing unexpectedly and then snaking upward and opening out to a banshee wail."
