Ihr Album „Not That Kind“ kassierte in Deutschland und einigen anderen Ländern in Rekordzeit Platin und stellte die New Yorkerin als Talent mit bravourösen Stimmleistungen vor. Als Singles wurden die Songs „I’m Outta Love“ „Not That Kind“ und „Cowboys And Kisses“ ausgekoppelt. Anastacia trat übrigens im Mai 2002 bei der fünften Divas Live Showcase von VH-1 auf - als Special Guest zusammen mit Shakira, Cher, Celine Dion und Mary J. Blige.
