So der gebürtige Kalifornier Aloe Blacc, dessen Eltern aus Panama in die USA einwanderten. 2006 erschien sein Debut Album ,Shine Through', welches in der US Soul Szene bereits großes Aufsehen erregte. Auf seinem Album 'Good Things' spricht Aloe erneut vielen Leuten aus der Seele.
Genau dort liegt auch der Ursprung seines Schaffens. ,Good Things', das ist erdige Soulmusik, das Weiterführen einer langen Tradition, die schon seit geraumer Zeit aus der öffentlichen Wahrnehmung verschwunden zu sein scheint.
