Kagome und Inuyasha haben eine Tochter: Moroha, die zu einem Viertel Dämonin ist. Auch Sesshomaru hat zwei Töchter - Towa und Setsuna, die jedoch nur Halbdämoninnen sind. Eines Tages werden die beiden bei einem Waldbrand voneinander getrennt und Towa gelangt durch ein Portal ins gegenwärtige Japan. Dort wird sie von Sota Higurashi aufgenommen.
