Der Undercover-Cop Lucas White schleust sich als Mechaniker in eine Gang aus Fahrern illegaler Straßenrennen ein, die vom vor Testosteron überschäumenden und debilen Vin Serento angeführt wird. Serento und seine nichtsnutzigen Mitglieder wollen den lokalen Gangster-Boss Juan Carlos de la Sol übers Ohr hauen, um an sein Geld zu kommen, das er in einer Taco-Bell-Filiale in Downtown L.A. versteckt hat. Doch spätestens bei der Ausführung zeigt ihr simpler Plan eklatante Schwächen. Als Lucas auch noch mit Vins Schwester Jordana anbandelt ist das Chaos komplett!
