Sirocco (1951) (Blu-ray) (UK Import)
The Blu-Ray was developed as a high-definition successor to the DVD and offers a significantly increased data rate and storage capacity compared to its predecessor. Blu-Rays can therefore store movies with significantly better resolution and offer enormously high picture quality on corresponding screens. Blu-Ray players are usually backward compatible with DVDs, so that they can also be played.

Humphrey Bogart (Dead Reckoning), Marta Toren (Deported), Lee J Cobb (The Family Secret), and Everett Sloane (The Lady from Shanghai) star in Sirocco, a thrilling tale of war and passion. Harry Smith (Bogart) is a black marketeer in colonial Syria, selling arms to the resistance movement against French rule. When he falls for beautiful nightclub singer Violetta (Toren), he becomes caught between her lover, Colonel Feroud (Cobb), and the leaders of the rebel movement. Directed by Curtis Bernhardt (A Stolen Life) and photographed by Burnett Guffey (Knock on Any Door), Sirocco is an exotic film noir classic in the vein of Casablanca.
