Wie alles begann... Der Ursprung des Bösen
Die »Resident Evil«-Ursprungsgeschichte spielt im Jahr 1998 und erklärt die Geheimnisse der Spencer Mansion und von Raccoon City. Raccoon City, einst die florierende Heimat des Pharmariesen Umbrella Corporation, ist heute eine sterbende Stadt im Mittleren Westen. Der Exodus des Unternehmens hat die Stadt in ein Ödland verwandelt, unter dessen Oberfläche sich ein großes Übel zusammenbraut. Als dieses Böse entfesselt wird, verändert sich die Stadt für immer.
Es gibt nur eine kleine Gruppe von Überlebenden, die sich nun zusammenraufen muss, um die Wahrheit hinter Umbrella aufzudecken und die Nacht zu überstehen.
