The Blu-Ray was developed as a high-definition successor to the DVD and offers a significantly increased data rate and storage capacity compared to its predecessor. Blu-Rays can therefore store movies with significantly better resolution and offer enormously high picture quality on corresponding screens. Blu-Ray players are usually backward compatible with DVDs, so that they can also be played.

A woodcutter witnesses a horrific series of events - an ambush, rape and murder. In the telling of the tale, however, each of the four participants gives a different view of what actually happened - is anyone telling the truth?
Kurosawa's masterly and influential film plays on the subjective nature of truth while unfurling a riveting tale of violence and greed.
The first film to alert Western audiences to the riches of Japanese cinema, Rashômon was remade in Hollywood as The Outrage, starring Paul Newman, and is credited by Bryan Singer as his inspiration for The Usual Suspects.
Nominated for two Oscars, three BAFTAs and won the Silver Lion award at Venice Film Festival in 1954. Won Academy Award for best foreign film.
