The Blu-Ray was developed as a high-definition successor to the DVD and offers a significantly increased data rate and storage capacity compared to its predecessor. Blu-Rays can therefore store movies with significantly better resolution and offer enormously high picture quality on corresponding screens. Blu-Ray players are usually backward compatible with DVDs, so that they can also be played.

Eigentlich sind die beiden Cops Deke DaSilva und Matthew Fox als Lockvögel der New Yorker Polizei meist nachts auf Verbrecherjagd. Als aber der gefährliche Terrorist Heymar Wulfgar nach einem verheerenden Anschlag in London nun den Big Apple heimsucht, sind sie plötzlich auch als Anti-Terror-Experten gefragt. Denn der skrupellose Wulfgar hat es auf Angestellte der Vereinten Nationen abgesehen und zwingt die beiden »Nachtfalken« in einen atemberaubenden Showdown, der neben konventionellen Waffen auch ihre Fähigkeiten zur Tarnung erforderlich macht.
Mit »Nachtfalken« gelang es Action-Spezialist Bruce Malmuth bereits 1981, den späteren RAMBO Sylvester Stallone als veritable Action-Ikone zu inszenieren. An seiner Seite ist mit Billy Dee Willams kein Geringerer als der echte 'Lando Calrissian' zu sehen. Ihnen gegenüber: BLADE RUNNER-Legende Rutger Hauer, der als skrupelloser Terrorist alle Register seines Könnens ziehen und sich mit seinen Gegenspielern spektakuläre Gefechte liefern darf. Ein Klassiker des Actionfilms der frühen Achtziger.
