Ein 12-Meter-Krokodil hat einen Taucher in Stücke gerissen. Doch sein Hunger ist noch lange nicht gestillt! Eine schwer bewaffnete Truppe sucht nach der Möglichkeit, diese gewaltige Fressmaschine unschädlich zu machen. Doch die neurotische Paläontologin Kelly, Wildhüter Jack, der exzentrische Mythologie-Professor Hector und Sheriff Hank können nicht verhindern dass es weitere Tote gibt. Das Team macht eine bizarre Entdeckung, die gleichzeitig den Horror beenden könnte.
