In the Bronx neighborhood of Five Corners, 1964, change is in the air and unrest is in the streets. Two teenage girls are given away to a pair of delinquents; a high school teacher is shot in the back with an arrow on the way to school, and psychotic Heinz (Turturro) is released from jail only to return to stalking the object of his obsession, Linda (Foster). Fearing for her safety, Linda turns to Harry (Robbins), who previously helped put Heinz in jail. Harry soon finds himself in a morally compromising situation where violence might be the only solution.
