Blu-Rays can therefore store movies with significantly better resolution and offer enormously high picture quality on corresponding screens. Blu-Ray players are usually backward compatible with DVDs, so that they can also be played.

USA, Anfang der 70er: Sportjournalist Raoul Duke soll über ein Autorennen in der Wüste berichten. In Begleitung seines Anwalts Dr. Gonzo macht er sich im geliehenen Cabrio auf in Richtung Las Vegas. Im Gepäck zwei Beutel Gras, 75 Kügelchen Meskalin, fünf Löschblattbögen extrastarkes Acid, einen Salzstreuer halbvoll mit Kokain und vieles mehr. Der Anlass der Reise rückt schnell in den Hintergrund, denn unversehens schlägt diese in eine Achterbahnfahrt der Exzesse um.
