The Blu-Ray was developed as a high-definition successor to the DVD and offers a significantly increased data rate and storage capacity compared to its predecessor. Blu-Rays can therefore store movies with significantly better resolution and offer enormously high picture quality on corresponding screens. Rechtsanwalt Roland Dalton verteidigt einen Dealer, der zugibt, einen Polizisten getötet zu haben - allerdings in Notwehr. Bei seinen Ermittlungen behilflich ist ihm sein Freund Richie, der als Penner getarnt die Drogenszene bekämpft und ihm den Hinweis gibt, daß einige Polizisten, sogenannte Blue Jean Cops, in die eigene Tasche wirtschaften. Nur mit Hilfe des Freundes mit der 45er Magnum überlebt Dalton seine Nachforschungen, da sowohl die Drogenmafia als auch die korrupten Polizisten ohne mit der Wimper zu zucken über Leichen gehen.
