As the successor to the Blu-ray Disc, the Ultra HD Blu-ray is an optical data storage device for movies in ultra-high definition format. The eponymous Ultra HD resolution is a maximum of 3840 × 2160 pixels. In contrast to its predecessor, it also supports a higher contrast range, a higher refresh rate and a larger color space. Normal Blu-ray players cannot play the new media. Ultra HD Blu-ray-capable devices are usually backward compatible.
Blu-Ray DiscThe Blu-Ray was developed as a high-definition successor to the DVD and offers a significantly increased data rate and storage capacity compared to its predecessor. Blu-Rays can therefore store movies with significantly better resolution and offer enormously high picture quality on corresponding screens. Blu-Ray players are usually backward compatible with DVDs, so that they can also be played.

Draufgänger Mike Lowrey und sein Partner Marcus Burnett stehen immer noch im Dienst der Polizei und treiben Captain Howard nach wie vor mit Missionen zur Weißglut, die in Destruktionsorgien enden. Während Einzelgänger Mike immer noch mit seinem Job (und seinem flotten Schlitten) verheiratet ist, wird Familienmensch Marcus zunehmend klar, dass er seine zweite Lebenshälfte lieber im Kreise seiner Liebsten verbringen will - anstatt sich Hals über Kopf von einer waghalsigen Mission in die nächste zu stürzen. Nachdem Mike eines Tages allerdings Ziel eines Attentats wird, überschlagen sich die Ereignisse, sodass den beiden nichts anderes übrig bleibt, als Jagd auf dessen Angreifer zu machen, der ein dunkles Geheimnis birgt und alles in seiner Macht stehende tut, um die Befehle seiner Mutter erfolgreich auszuführen. Und die will vor allem eines: den Tod von Mike Lowrey.
