Im Gegensatz zum Vorgänger werden zudem ein hoher Kontrastumfang, eine höhere Bildwiederholrate und ein größerer Farbraum unterstützt. Normale Blu-ray-Player können die neuen Medien nicht wiedergeben. Ultra-HD-Blu-ray-fähige Geräte sind in der Regel abwärtskompatibel.

Two Oxford students, William (Michael York) and Anna (Jacqueline Sassard), crash their car outside their professor Stephen's (Dirk Bogarde) house.
The lecturer finds William dead and Anna in shock, and the horrifying spectacle in front of him triggers memories of their previous meetings. It transpires that Anna had been having an affair with one of the professor's colleagues, and, in a flashback to a Sunday dinner party, it is revealed what part Stephen had to play in the fall-out from the relationship.
Harold Pinter provides the script for Joseph Losey's examination of emotional tumult amongst the dreaming spires.
Stephen (Dirk Bogarde - The Servant) is a middle-aged professor at Oxford University. Stifled by his life of marriage and academia, he yearns for an affair with his beautiful and enigmatic student Anna (Jacqueline Sassard - Les Biches). He is locked into a battle for Anna's affection against her fiancé, William (Michael York - Logan's Run), whose youthful vitality he envies, and with his friend and academic rival Charley (Stanley Baker - Zulu), whose media profile and sexual success he covets. Along with The Go-Between and The Servant, ACCIDENT is one of the three film collaborations between legendary director Joseph Losey and playwright Harold Pinter. Often acknowledged as the pinnacle of Losey's distinguished career, ACCIDENT is a compelling and unforgettable masterpiece.
