Der Weg zum Herz der hübschen Mara führt für Fred nur über ihren verhätschelten Filius. Und der hätte gerne einen Basketball, bitteschön handsigniert. Die besten Chancen, solch ein Ding zu ergattern, gibt es auf der Behindertentribüne, und so kommt Fred auf die grandiose Idee, sich im Rollstuhl in die Halle fahren zu lassen. Den Ball kann er sogar abstauben - nur leider wird auch noch die findige TV-Journalistin Denise auf ihn aufmerksam, und der quietschfidele Fred soll nun die Hauptfigur einer Dokumentation über Behinderte werden.
