About the film

Ein aus Ostpreußen vertriebener Bauer findet auf den Hof seines Sohnes bei Hamburg eine neue Heimat. Die Frau des Sohnes versucht , ihren aus dem Kriege heimgekehrten Mann, der in Hamburg mit einer ehemaligen Nachrichtenhelferin zusammenlebt, auf den Hof in der Lüneburger Heide zurückzuholen. Der Konflikt wird durch den Unfalltod der Geliebten gelöst. Zeitnaher dramatischer Film, ein Sittenbild der Nachkriegszeit.
