Reflections
The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

Tommy Crona ist Zeit seines Lebens bürgerlichen Berufen jenseits dem eines professionellen Musikers nachgegangen. Obwohl Crona auf eine umfangreiche Liste als Begleit- und Gastmusiker bei ungleich prominenteren skandinavischen Musikern schauen darf, ist »Reflections« tatsächlich sein erstes Solo-Album.
Wie der Albumtitel schon verheißt, reflektiert Crona Musik solcher Künstler, die seine eigene musikalische Sozialisation vorangetrieben haben – wie z. B. Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Thelonious Monk, Larry Willis, Kenny Barron etc. So sind neben diversen anderen Interpretationen jeweils 2 Titel von Corea und Monk enthalten. Neben Tommy Crona am Piano vervollständigen Hans Beckenroth am Kontrabass und Jesper Kviberg am Schlagzeug das Crona Jazz Trio.
Neben Mastermind Jan-Eric Persson zeichnen die potenziellen OPUS 3 Nachfahren Roger Ekman und Erik Nordström für diese Produktion verantwortlich. Detaillierte Informationen zu seinem musikalischen Werdegang steuert Tommy Crona in seinen sehr persönlichen Liner-Notes im Booklet bei.
