Im Alter von 96 Jahren wird die Jazzlegende Sheila Jordan noch einmal über sich und ihre einmalige Gesangskarriere hinauswachsen. Im Februar 2025 veröffentlicht das renommierte Jazz-Label Dot Time Records ein neues Album mit dem Titel Portrait Now. Der Titel ist inspiriert von Portrait of Sheila, Jordans erstem Album für Blue Note Records aus dem Jahr 1962.
Das aktuelle Trio, bestehend aus Jordan (Gesang), Roni Ben-Hur (Gitarre) und Harvie S (Bass) und tritt bereits seit einigen Jahren regelmäßig gemeinsam auf. Ihre unbestreitbare Chemie machte es fast unumgänglich, nicht aufgenommen zu werden.
