Alto-saxophonist Leo Wright got his start in Dizzy Gillespie's band in 1959, but by the time he released Soul Talk in 1970 (recorded by legendary producer Tom Dowd) for Atlantic / Vortex Records, he already had several "soul jazz" albums under his own name. Features Blue Note guitarist Kenny Burrell, B-3 organ maverick Gloria Coleman, and rounding out this soulful quartet is drummer Frankie Dunlop, best known for playing on many classic Thelonious Monk titles.
