Das erst 1962 veröffentlichte Album entstand für Prestige Records mit Trompeter Wilbur Harden, Pianist Red Garland, Bassist Paul Chambers und Schlagzeuger Jimmy Cobb. Coltranes bahnbrechender modaler Post-Bob von Miles Davis' Kind of Blue lag noch in der Zukunft. Zu hören sind statt dessen u.a. eine zehnminütige Version des Standards Invitation.
