The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

Dieses Album ist Teil des Aufnahmeprojekts, das Giulio Cesare Ricci seit mehreren Jahren im alten Gewölbekeller des Palazzo Di Scoto Di Semifonte in Certaldo Alto (bei Florenz) produziert. Um die faszinierende Akustik dieses Ortes hervorzuheben, wurde das Signoricci-System verwendet, das vollständig analog und röhrenbasiert ist, DSD-Stereo auf einem Pyramix Recorder mit einem dCS A/D- und D/A-Wandler. Für diese Aufnahme verwendete Giulio Cesare Ricci Mikrofonpaare der legendären Neumann-Röhrenmikrofone U47, U48 und M49. Keine Bearbeitung.

Alle Titel auf diesem Album werden so wiedergegeben, wie sie gespielt wurden. Neben den Standards, die zu Scott Hamiltons üblichem und bekanntem Repertoire gehören, hat sich der amerikanische Saxophonist Songs ausgewählt, die für ihn ungewöhnlicher sind, aber zugleich kongenial für das Duo, das sie auf inspirierende Weise, in der man die Songs hört, interpretiert.
