Vor allem, wenn sie so ausgezeichnet besetzt waren wie jene, die ihr auf »Body And Soul« zur Seite stand und in der als Solisten Ben Webster und Harry »Sweets« Edison glänzten. Wie der Poet und Romancier Al Young in den Linernotes des Albums feststellt, waren die beiden nicht nur begnadete Solisten, sondern ebenso einfühlsame Begleiter. Eine bessere Band hätte sich Lady Day für die Vertonung der Jazzstandards von ‹Body And Soul» kaum wünschen können.
