»Consecration I« ist ein posthumes Live-Album des legendären Jazzpianisten Bill Evans. Die Aufnahmen wurden während Evans' letzten Auftritten im Keystone Korner in San Francisco zwischen dem 31. August und dem 7. September 1980 gemacht.
»Consecration I« zeigt Evans' charakteristischen introspektiven Stil, der lyrische Phrasierungen mit komplizierten harmonischen Verläufen verbindet. Auf dem Album bildet Evans mit dem Bassisten Marc Johnson und dem Schlagzeuger Joe LaBarbera ein Trio, das ausdrucksstarke Interpretationen von Jazzstandards und Eigenkompositionen liefert. Titel wie »You and the Night And the Music«, »Emily« und »Someday My Prince Will Come« unterstreichen Evans' feines Gespür und seine meisterhafte Improvisation.
