In New York wird Tony DeSare bereits als der kommende Entertainer-Star gehandelt. Der junge Sänger, Pianist und Songwriter trat bereits im bekannten ‚Birdland’ auf und konnte danach über sich selbst lesen: „Tony DeSare singt mit so viel Enthusiasmus, sein Name wird bald in aller Munde sein.“ Dies könnte sogar recht schnell passieren, denn auf dem bemerkenswerten Debüt Want You findet sich der Titelsong des mit viel Vorschusslorbeeren bedachten Films „My Date With Drew“.
