Dem ursprünglich 1991 veröffentlichten Album „New Musette“ gab eine neue, um Jazzelemente erweiterte Spielart der in Frankreich sehr populären Musette seinen Namen.
Neben Richard Galliano, einem der ganz großen Jazz-Akkordeonisten, komplettieren Philip Catherine (Gitarre), Drummer Aldo Romano und der 2005 verstorbene Pierre Michelot am Kontrabass das Quartett.
