The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

Alt-Saxophonist Phil Woods und Trompeter Donald Byrd 1956 übernahmen für The Young Bloods gemeinsam die Bandleader-Rolle. Woods steuerte vier der sechs Titel bei und tritt wiederholt mit inspirierenden Solos in Erscheinung. Pianist Al Haig, Bassist Teddy Kottick und Schlagzeuger Charlie Persip ergänzen das Quintett mit ihrem anregenden Spiel. Eine Empfehlung für jeden Jazz-Sammler.
Die Hybrid-Mono-SACD erscheint im Mini-LP-Cover in einer Serie von 50 Wiederveröffentlichungen des legendären Prestige-Labels. Geplant sind je 25 Mono- und Stereo- Aufnahmen. Das Mastering übernahm Kevin Gray in seinen Cohearent Audio Studios.
