This recording of the „Klare – Bektas – Ak“ trio comes as a special, authentic and very mature debut album.
Special – because there are only a few improvising musicians who embark on the adventure of traditional Turkish music and jazz / improvisation.
Authentic – because it's obvious for German and Turkish musicians who grew up and were active in the same Ruhrgebiet neighbourhood to form a group.
Mature – because the trio has over several years formed its own amalgamation of folklore and personal musical articulations before doing this studio recording.
In their ambitious and uncompromising search for substance „Klare – Bektas – Ak“ create a music which inspires by its unpretentious authenticity and thus entertains on the highest level.
This German-Turkish musical adventure is a real audiophile enrichment. Virtuosity and simplicity, energy and playfulness, roughness and refinement, tradition and innovation, intensity and repose, - all go hand in hand.
The substantial music of „Klare – Bektas – Ak“ can be an inspiration both for classical jazz fans and world music enthusiasts.
