Ganz neue Wege beschreitet der britische Filmmusik-Komponist, Arrangeur und Keyboarder Colin Towns mit seinem neuen Bandprojekt Blue Touch Paper.

Nachdem Towns mit den Bigbands vom NDR und HR aufsehenerregende Projekte realisiert hat und die Musiken von John Lennon, Frank Zappa, Miles Davis, Kurt Weill und des Mahavishnu Orchestra neu arrangiert hat, wechselt er nun das Format und hat mit britischen und deutschen Musiker das Sextett Blue Touch Paper gegründet.

Zusammen mit Drummer Benny Greb (Stoppok), Perkussionist Stephan Maas (Kruder & Dorfmeister), Bassist Edward Maclean (Peter Fox), Saxophonist Mark Lockheart (Polar Bear) und Gitarrist Chris Montague (Kit Downes) durchbricht Towns die Schranken zwischen Rock und Jazz und beschreibt auf dem Debütalbum "Stand Well Back" ein neues Genre, das wir gerne "Cinematic Fusion Music" benennen.
