Avi Lebovich, a native of Israel, is here with his second record release "CONSTANT CHASE". On this album, Avi brings a new and unique instrumental sound as well as a vocal arrangement approach with an emphasis on Middle Eastern rhythms, combined with motives drawn from various genres (Drum & Bass, Classical, Funk, etc.).
Following a long history of playing and recording with such artists as Milt Jackson, James Moody, Slide Hampton (also featured on Avi¹s first CD release with Mapleshade, "Shades of Brass"), Incognito, Bootsy Collins, Phillip Bailey (of Earth, Wind and Fire) and others, Avi turned to his internal passion - writing and arranging. (Recently, one of Avi¹s tunes "Mr. Demargary" was accepted by the prestigious "New Real Book" Real Book¹s latest edition).
