Piano Starts Here: Live At The Shrine (Re-Performance)
The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

The Zenph-Recordings – der Klang des legendären Konzertes von Jazz-Pianist Art Tatum 1949 im Shrine-Auditorium von Los Angeles wurde von einem Hochleistungs-Computerprogramm in kleinste Akustik-Bausteine zerlegt. Anschließend hat man einen modernen elektronischen Steinway-Flügel mit den Daten gefüttert. Das Ergebnis: Art Tatum, neu aufgenommen mit der Aufnahmetechnik von 2008 – digital und im Surround-Klang. Einige Tracks wurden im Tempo korrigiert (Art spielt nun schneller), außerdem gibt es als Bonus bisher unveröffentlichte Musik aus Gershwins »Porgy & Bess«.
