LEHAR CAN INDEED TOUCH YOUR HEART
CPO is again to be thanked for another unsual title from the splendid Lehar repertoire. WO DIE LERCHE SINGT has wonderful music and here the respect for the original work is intact. Close your eyes and enjoy the music imagining the story (what a marvellous way to avoid the mise en scènes of today's directors). here the music has its first place and it is music of great quality. CPO has now the task of giving us Lehar's DIE JUXHEIRAT, that splendid PETER UN PAUL INS SCHLARAFFEMNLAND ... and, possibly, a 'complete' performance of WIENER FRAUEN since the available version is only a selection and the score deserves to be fully enjoyed. Let's hope! You who love operettas and Lehar's musical theatre DO NOT HESITATE buy this new 2-cd-set immediately. You'll be happy.
