Not up there with the best
While Ms Nelsovas musicality is evident, her technical prowess is less so. The Bach cello suites are a case in point. During the faster passages her left hand slaps the fingerboard so hard that you might get the impression that Bach wrote a duo for cello and tabla. In general, her playing sounds as if it takes an effort, and I found myself listening in a state of slight apprehension. Never quite at ease.
Compare her with Pierre Fournier or Janos Starker, and you'll see what I mean. Better alternatives abound.
