Nach dem Erfolg ihres Debütalbums bei Deutsche Grammophon, das sich mit der Musik des polnischen Komponisten Mieczyslaw Weinberg auseinandersetzte, widmet sich Mirga Grazinyte-Tyla jetzt der Musik der zeitgenössischen litauischen Komponistin Raminta Serksnyte. Unterstützt wird sie dabei von der 1989 in Vilnius geborenen Dirigentin Giedre Slekyte. Am Pult der Kremerata Baltica dirigiert Grazinyte-Tyla Musik von tranzendentaler Schönheit und großer emotionaler Kraft, die zwischen mystischer Entrückung und Ausbrüchen pulsierender Energie hin- und her oszilliert. Die außergewöhnliche Intensität der vorliegenden Aufnahme ist direkt auf die persönliche Verbindung zurückzuführen, die beide Dirigentinnen zum Werk Serksnytes spüren.
