Hiyoli Togawa - Children!
The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

Nach den »Songs of Solitude« (BIS 2553), einem Projekt, das Hiyoli Togawa während der Zeit der Pandemie konzipierte, präsentiert die japanisch-australische Bratscherin nun ein Album, das sich mit der Situation von Kindern beschäftigt. Denn in der Covid-Zeit dachte sie oft darüber nach, wie viele Kinder kein liebevolles Zuhause haben und gezwungen waren, in schwierigen häuslichen Situationen auszuharren. Wie für die Vorgänger-SACD hat sie auch diesmal Werke bei Komponist: innen weltweit in Auftrag gegeben. Dreizehn ließen sich auf eine Reise ins Kinderland ein. Das Ergebnis ist eine Sammlung von Schlafliedern, Kindheitserinnerungen und Abenteuern. Spielerisch, wild, leise, fröhlich, ernsthaft oder träumerisch – diese Werke sind musikalische Bitten für die Rechte von Kindern weltweit. Hiyoli Togawa kombiniert sie mit den Allemanden aus Bachs sechs Suiten für Cello solo. Jede dieser Allemanden hat einen eigenen Charakter, der einen besonderen Zugang zum Tanz eröffnet. Sie laden ein, sich in ihnen zu verlieren – um sich selbst zu finden.
