Werke für Bratsche des englischen Komponisten Ralph Vaughan Williams (1872 – 1958) werden auf der aktuellen Veröffentlichung auf Albion Records vorgestellt. Williams, selbst Bratschist, komponierte die Suite für Bratsche und Klavier, außerdem wurden die Romanze für Bratsche und Klavier, 6 Studien von English Folk Songs, die “Fantasia on Greensleeves“ und die “Fantasia on Sussex Folk Tunes Four Hyms“ mit dem Tenor MARK PADMORE eingespielt. Bratschist MARTIN OUTRAM ist Mitglied des MAGGINI QUARTET, Pianist JULIAN ROLTON war Mitglied des CHAGALL TRIO, zu seinem Repertoire gehören Werke von Britten, Shostakovich oder Kagel. Tenor MARK PADMORE war Artist in Residence bei den Berliner Philharmonikern von 2017 – 2018, und gastierte mit den Schubert Liederzyklen in u. a. Amsterdam, Barcelona, London, Paris und Tokio. Auch wurde er 2016 zum Sänger des Jahres von Musical America gewählt.
