Marco Uccellini (1610-1680) schuf in seinen Werken einen neuartigen ausdrucksvollen Violinstil, der den Interpreten sowohl Virtuosität als auch kantables Spiel abverlangt. Mit der Erweiterung des Spielumfangs bis zur sechsten Lage führte er auch wichtige spieltechnische Neuerungen ein. Den Einfallsreichtum, den Uccellini in seiner Musik an den Tag legt, diente auch Komponisten wie Schmelzer, Biber und Walther als Vorbild. Davide Monti (Violine) und Maria Christina Cleary (Harfe) stellen hier seine Sonaten op. 5 vor.
